The Central Technical-Scientific Committee for fire prevention in the meeting of 5 July 2011 asked for an extension for the replacement of the panic bars.

The deadline for the replacement of panic bars installed in correspondence with escape routes not provided with CE marking, in accordance with the Ministerial Decree of 03 November 2004, was scheduled for February 2011.

Following the meeting of the Central Technical-Scientific Committee held on 05 July 2011, the deadline for replacing the panic bars appears to have been extended by a further 24 months.
