On 23-06-2011 the UNI 11224:2011 standard concerning the initial inspection and maintenance of fire detection systems came into force.

The standard was set up taking into account the technological update and the contents of the UNI 9795 standard, thus defining:

- the phases and frequency of maintenance,
- the documentation to be produced,
- the conditions in which to carry out the tests and checks,
- the equipment to be used,
- the methods of verification, surveillance and periodic control,
- the registration of the tests.
